In the south of Neukölln is Schloss Britz (Britz Palace). Formally a manor house, it now contains an exhibition on how people lived during Germany’s late 19th century industrial expansion, and is the venue for numerous readings and concerts. Its park is a beautiful place for a stroll. Inspired by Dutch gardens, it features a goldfish pond, an orangery, orchards, exotic plants, a colonnade of lime trees, a fountain and a garden pavilion. Fun fact: It's also home to Berlin’s oldest ginkgo tree! #visit_berlin berlinized #neukölln

Located in the southwest of Berlin, agriculture has been practiced here for more than 800 years. The museum was initially established by market festivals such as the "Erntefest" (Harvest fest) or the "Adventsmarkt" (Advent market) that spread throughout Berlin. In 2015, the museum operations in another historic building were significantly expanded: Under the motto "From the field to the plate", numerous aspects of eating habits and their development from 1850 to the present are presented in the Culinarium that has received several awards. On three floors visitors will find hundreds of exhibits, various media, and numerous interactive stations. The top floor of the Culinarium is specially designed for children which means food and fun for the whole family!
