Overthinking denies you of your happiness and is one of the most harmful thing you can do to yourself. How often did you run through a scenario in your mind about a conversation you had, or a choice you made and regretted after. And than, you relive the scenario over and over in your head, you have conversations with the other person or imagine how a different choice would lead to better results, creating illusions of false reality. But, sadly, what ever it is you did, it cannot be changed. Our past has been set, and instead we just end up wasting out time. Over thinking denies you of living in the present, it makes you less decisive, more afraid of future consequences, and generally just slows you down. The solution is easy to learn, but hard to master. We have to accept our mistakes and learn from them. We have to accept that we make mistakes, and that's alright. That's how development work. Acknowledge what is you've done wrong, and move on with your life, trying your best not to repeat the mistake. Einstein once said: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".
