Time for micro lights and icy toner
6 months later
Reality: when you have a level 2 dark brown / black hair it doesn’t matter how icy you leave the salon. After a month or two your hair will look brassy.
She is my regular micro light client. On the left, her hair is still beautifully blended because of a correct technique but the toner has faded.
Micro lights are hard to do. It take time and patience. Price point is a lot higher then traditional highlights.
Her application alone take 2 hours. I have to make sure I don’t overlap her previous blonde and I have to make sure it’s nicely blended with her dark roots. Because of the long process I always make a new bleach every 20min by increasing the volume a little bit each time.
There is a reason that my clients appreciate me. No two hair are a like. I have a custom technique for each one of them and YES I do keep records on every single one.
